Paws 'n Claws Pet Rescue, Inc.
Littleton Veterinary Clinic, Inc. is proud to announce the opening of the Paws 'n Claws Pet Rescue, Inc. within its facility. Paws 'n Claws began in April of 2008 as a shelter for dogs and cats in need. Although, Littleton Veterinary Clinic, Inc. was previously affiliated with Above the Notch Humane Society, that relationship ended in March of 2008. ATNHS' Board of Directors, at that time, made the decision to end that relationship and they removed their cats from Littleton Veterinary Clinic, Inc. Because ATNHS is no longer taking in cats, it was recognized that there was a huge need for a shelter for cats in this area and Dr. Kim Koprowski and Lori Fillion became determined to fill that gap. There is extra space available at the clinic and medical services can be provided as well. In order to receive advertising, food, grants, etc. it was decided to become a non-profit organization. Currently, we are working with Attorney William Oliver to gain that status and we are almost complete.
The public response has been wonderful and we want to heartily thank the people who have helped us with donations, cat litter, volunteerism and fostering. We have established a great Board of Directors and look forward to doing all that we can to make a difference in the lives of these less fortunate animals!!
